7th to the 12th of August 2014
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I am very pleased to announce that the location of this years "Enter The Dragon" themed training camp and open sparring tournament has been booked.
We would like to humbly ask you all to do your best to support Grandmaster Kwok, our Association and the event by attending with as many of your students as possible.
Please forward this link and the training camps Facebook page to all of your students, friends, associates and other association members to help us make this event one that we will all remember.
We are holding the camp at the PGL activity centre in "Little Canada" on the side of Wootton Creek on the Isle of Wight, Hampshire UK.
The camp will be from the 7th to the 12th of August, we can accommodate anyone wanting to arrive or leave just before and after these dates if need be due to traveling arrangements.
Accommodation is in clean and comfortable cabins with en suite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, full board including three meals a day will be included with on site activities available should you wish to attend with your family.
The enclosed site has many facilities including; a bar and games room, activity centre, sports hall, swimming pool, assault course, basket ball and tennis courts, dining hall and the centre itself has activities including an indoor and outdoor climbing wall, zip wire, Jacobs ladder, canoeing, raft building, archery, kids quads, fencing, abseiling, trampolines and more should you wish to take part or enrol your children in any of these activities (some of which may incur additional small charges).
There are several options to get to the island ( no Chinese junks I'm afraid) including red funnel and wightlink or hovertravel for both car and foot passenger ferries, so depending where you are coming from you can travel from Lymington, Southampton, Portsmouth or Southsea. Once here there are of course taxis, a good bus service and as we get travel requirements confirmed we may even be able to offer a minibus service. We strongly recommend booking your travel arrangements as soon as possible, the island can be busy in August and although there are up to 300 sailings a day the sooner you book the better.
Anyone attending who wants to participate in the sparring tournament MUST BRING THEIR OWN PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. Fighters will be expected to have a head-guard, gloves (open finger gloves permitted) gum-shield and box as a minimum and although we may have one or two spare sets just in case anyone without their own gear may not be able to participate. We will be awarding cash prizes and trophies for the winners, please encourage your students (young or old) to take part, we would love to be able to have more junior bouts this year.
The sparring tournament is open to all comers, we hope to have people representing other disciplines including Karate, Muai Thai, Kung Fu, boxing etc. so if you know anyone from another club or discipline please don't be afraid to invite them.
There will be a breaking area, conditioning area, meditation room, Qi Gong in the morning, Wing Chun and as always the opportunity of cross training with the variety of people we hope will be present.
We have set a target for 150 attendees and hope that we can respectfully count on you all to make this more successful than last year, we had 10 countries represented without trying so please help us to improve on that figure this year.

Booking forms available by downloading the pdf on this page (see below), we are a little pressed for time and will need everyone to have their bookings in by the end of June at the very latest.
If you need any further information please let me know. There will be the option of attending on a daily basis for those who are unable to attend the entire event.
I would also like to ask that if anyone is able to bring along equipment such as pads, bags, poles, or dummies this would be very helpful, we should also be installing the plum flower posts this year but we can never have enough equipment.
I hope this will be enough to whet your appetite, further details and booking forms will be available soon but in the meantime I wish you all the very best and hope to see you in August.
Kindest regards and respects
Lee Coleman
